Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.

- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined; do not over-mix.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
