A cozy loaf packed with real apple chunks and cinnamon, reminiscent of café treats but homemade.
Ingredients

- 2 large apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Mix brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon; set aside.
- Cream together butter and granulated sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla one at a time, beating until smooth.
- Add flour and baking powder, then mix in milk gradually.
- Fold in chopped apples gently.
- In a greased loaf pan, layer half of the batter, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and then add the rest of the batter.
- Top with remaining cinnamon mixture and swirl with a butter knife.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly, slice thick, and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, let the apples sit with cinnamon and sugar for five minutes. Serve warm with salted butter for a delightful treat.
