Apple Crisp Pizza Dessert combines the delightful flavors of a classic apple crisp with the fun and ease of a pizza, perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat after dinner.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 single-crust pie dough
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 medium baking apples, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup caramel topping or caramel apple dip

Instructions

  1. Set the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to fully preheat.
  2. Gently roll out the pie dough onto a pizza pan or baking sheet, shaping a 1/4-inch thick crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Toss the apple slices with the sugar mixture until they are evenly coated.
  5. Distribute the coated apple slices evenly across the dough surface.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, and ground cinnamon for the topping.
  7. Cut in softened butter using a fork or pastry blender until the mixture forms medium-sized crumbs.
  8. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the layered apples.
  9. Place the dessert in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
  10. Remove from the oven, drizzle with caramel topping, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

For easier slicing, allow the dessert to cool down for a bit after baking. Use a variety of apples for different flavors; Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well. Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture and taste.
