Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them evenly into fry-sized sticks to ensure uniform cooking.
  2. Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch and help achieve extra crispiness.
  3. After soaking, thoroughly pat the fries dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to remove moisture.
  4. Toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spread the fries out in a single layer in the air fryer basket to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking or tossing the basket halfway through to ensure even browning and crispiness.
  7. Once the fries are golden and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl. Immediately sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley, tossing gently so the cheese melts slightly and coats every fry.
