Deliciously crispy fried onions made healthier in an air fryer, perfect as a topping or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions thinly and soak them in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and dry the onions thoroughly.
  3. Toss the onions with flour, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with oil and spread the onion mixture evenly.
  6. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy.
  7. Remove from air fryer and let cool before using.
