Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir until dissolved.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour while stirring vigorously until a cohesive dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip or use a zip-top bag with one corner snipped off.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Pipe strips of dough (about 4 inches long) into the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
- Lightly spray the churros with cooking spray and cook for 8 minutes, turning them halfway through until golden brown.
- Roll the hot churros in a cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with melted chocolate or dulce de leche for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
