Description

Crisp, naturally sweet banana chips that satisfy a snack craving without deep frying. Great for after-school snacks or party bowls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium firm bananas (not overripe)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon neutral oil (avocado or grape seed), optional
  • Pinch of fine sea salt, or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon for sweet chips

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas into 1/8-inch rounds.
  2. Toss slices in lemon juice to slow browning and optionally add oil.
  3. Arrange a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Set air fryer to 325°F (160°C) and cook for 6–9 minutes.
  5. Flip the slices and continue cooking for 6–9 more minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
  6. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For even crispiness, make sure slices are uniform in thickness, avoid overcrowding the basket, and store completely cooled chips in an airtight container.
