A customizable and kid-friendly gel snack made with just three ingredients, perfect for lunchboxes or quick desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fruit juice (e.g., orange, apple, grape)
- 2 packets (about 4 1/2 teaspoons) unflavored powdered gelatin
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Pour 1/2 cup of chilled juice into a bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over the surface; let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Warm the remaining 1 1/2 cups of juice in a saucepan until very warm (160–180°F).
- Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved; add the honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow pan and refrigerate for 2–4 hours until firm.
- Unmold and serve.
Notes
Use strong-flavored juices for better results. To prevent fruit from sinking, add it after the mixture cools slightly.
